Skincare Snippets 2017-02: I Love Cure Natural Aqua Gel

Skincare Snippets 2017-02: I Love Cure Natural Aqua Gel

I've been using samples of Cure for the longest time, I've tried sachets and given away/sold bottles of it. For the record, I have always known how it works. With that in mind, I don't know why I only now fell in love with it?

Prologue: I've run out of my Coyori Oil and paused Retinoids for a Red Light Therapy session in the past week. My skin seems fine still, but I am afraid of losing progress I've gained. I don't want to be just coasting on  residual effects in the meantime, only to have the final state of my skin hit me like a ton of bricks.

Stopping both the Retinoid and Oil close to the same time, I don't know which one to pinpoint for what I've felt like lessened skincare absorption. I don't have extreme El Niño flakes as before, but there feels like a crusty sheet of onion skin that sort of keeps my skincare unabsorbed on top.

Whenever that top layer of onion skin starts to feel like it's blocking my skincare, I've been using the Cure Natural Aqua Gel (PHP 1500 in Beauty Bar) more often, but only up to 2x max per week. It's a very goopy gel that melts upon contact with the skin, so I have to work quite fast in spreading it. I take one pump and distribute it along my face. When I massage the product, it turns white and the supposed dead skin comes off painlessly. I don't know the science at work here so I can't really say if it's all skin or the product itself solidifying, but the results are good enough for me not to look too hard into it.

Becaaaaause OMG  what have I been missing?! Dead skin pilled with Cure, and I've always known that, but I didn't really feel any particular fondness for this product until now. The direct comparison from crispy onion skin to glowing moon pearl face (Engrish time!) has me floored every single time. All my lotions and creams just get vacuumed right up into my pores.

The texture, I would've been chill about. It's the skincare-vacuum effect that's making me crazy - in a good way.

It makes sense. I, of all people, know that dry skin doesn't absorb skincare well, and the resulting flakes will blockade skincare from effectively entering your skin. I don't know why I ignored Cure as the obvious solutionAt this point, I'm just so mad at myself for taking it for granted for so long?!
