I hoarded three K Palettes in Japan. The K Palette Lasting Cheek Tint, K Palette Lasting Lip Tint Stick, and K Palette Lasting Eyebrow Tint in 03 Mocha Brown (JPY 1200, PHP 895 at Beauty Bar PH.) Maybelline has a similar product available locally as well. My video is below, but if you feel like reading my thoughts, keep scrolling!

Since it's my second go at peel-off eyebrow tints, I had an easier time. The only thing I considered was that I could not do gray brows again. Last time I did this (with another brand, I can't recall) I had an awful time because my brows would always FADE GREEN. At first I thought it was my imagination, until one of my reticent friends asked; 'hey, did something happen to your brows?' and if it got to the level that she had to speak up then it was most definitely not just my fucking imagination.

In color theory, you can build a grayish brown by mixing green and red. If you want it grayer, you add more green. Obviously there was something very, very wrong with the color mix of my first peel off tint because too much of the green stayed. I'm pretty glad that my reddish brown K Palette tint fades into a soft brown, instead of a bright and unnatural red.

Using the tint:

The kit comes with two stencils, a slightly arched one called "natural" and a straighter one called "cool." I seem to have lost it so I can't show a photo, sorry!

The tint peeled off great! Once you secure one thick layer, it peels off in one piece and I didn't have to clean up much around my brow area.

The Fade:

On to the fade! Here I have photos of day 0, day 1 and day 2. On day 0, after 2 hours of wear, the tint is perfect. You could 'walk it out' as is and it looked great! the edges are perfect; solid enough to give definition, yet soft enough not to show the slight wiggles in your lines. My only issue is that 03 looks too red, and it doesn't suit me because my hair isn't colored.

So much color faded by the first facial wash, but I did wash my face almost immediately after doing the tint. The second facial washing hardly budged. Day 2 looks like soft brows, but is still passable to wear bare.

Day 3 has very fuzzy edges already. The core of my brows were still going strong, but the tails of my brows faded the most. I hypothesize it's because I was pulling leftover glue to this area. I'd advice people to generously replenish tint on the applicator, to make the most of each tinting session.

About this brush:

I like this brush applicator! Seems tiny at first, but it's a really good size to draw a tapered eyebrow. The stiffness also works with the sticky tint, allowing you to really get more control of the scary goop. t's kind of hard to control the tint when you're not following the guide of your real brows. My advice: load the product up on the hairy parts so you have less to work with when painting on your skin - this allows for more control! When you've laid product precisely where you want to, then you can haphazardly layer more goop.

Final Thoughts:

Brow tints are great for people like me who have fine eyebrow hairs, and find themselves needing to draw so much eyebrows from scratch every single day. It's perfect on the first day (2 days max) and fades very slowly so when I do need to retouch, I don't have to go back to square one. The application is a little scary at first, but I find the learning curve pretty low, especially with this brush. I'd gladly power through the application and any length of keeping it on as it takes so much time off my brow routine!

Ultimately, my brows looked good 'til day 5. My dry skin might have helped preserve the color a little, but overall I would still recommend this tint for people with sparse eyebrows (dry or oily skin) who want to shave a few minutes off their eyebrow routines!
