Celeteque-BPI Promo: Hoarding on the Hydration Line

TELLIE: Hi, my name is Tellie. I'm a Celeteque addict.

CROWD: Hi Tellie.

The room thrums with the chatter of uneasy occupants and harsh fluorescent lighting. Colorful posters are scattered all around. A dull snack stand sits at the far end of the room.

T: I found out about Celeteque late last year. I started using early this year. It hasn't been the same. I just- I promised myself I would stop after Dermo Skin Circle. *visibly breaks down*

MARA (COUNSELLOR): It's okay, go on.

T: But then a BPI promo came along. There's Php 1000 worth of freebies and you just have to buy Php 500 worth of products from the online shop...

T: I- I gave in. I swear it'll be different next time..

M: Let's all thank Tellie for her courage in sharing her life with us.

CROWD: Thank you, Tellie.

The group collapses to give TELLIE an awkward support-group hug.

How's my little foray into scriptwriting? lol. But seriously, this Celeteque infatuation is getting to be little too much. When I wrote my Skin Circle entry, I wasn't decided about tapping on to the BPI promo. Well, based on the above title and the picture below..

My Celeteque-BPI Promo Haul: Completing my Nightly Skincare Routine

Or am I overreacting about this thing? Considering that I bought one toner (Php 77 or a little under USD 2) just one time, and then got into Skin Circle (Php 300) and BPI promo (Php 600) and the Sample Room Restorative Firming duo to be delivered at Php 100.. That's around a thousand (USD 25) for a ton of products. That's like buying one MAC lipstick! Why am I so guilt-ridden about this? I should be friggin happy! I'm getting more bang for my buck, come to think of it.

Anyway, I noticed that the cutest side effect of this addiction is: I've completed the Hydration line! I can now do a full Celeteque night routine. I'll be setting that up after my Bioderma trial, teehee!

But first thing's first, here's what I got:

Celeteque Hydration Makeup Remover Cleansing Facial Wipes, Php 160 / 20 sheet-pack

Sheetpack is my new curse word. SHEETPACK NAMAN O! SHEETPACK KA!
*I don't know if it's just us, but Filipinos have combined f*ck and sh*t into one all-powerful curse word: F*cksh*t, emphatically pronounced as Pakshet.

Anyways, my online reading list features nothing but good words for the Celeteque Hydration Makeup Remover Wipes. At Php 8/wipe, I feel like it's pretty expensive. The Face Shop's Herb Day Cleansing Wipes cost Php 4.6/wipe at Php 375 / 70 sheet-pack. However, TFS' are just cleansing wipes and it's not exactly fair to compare them.

I'm particularly happy about this one because 1.) I lost the free pack that came with the Skin Circle loot bag and 2.) Prior to this, I thought Celeteque had no dedicated makeup remover; I was just making do with the dual-functioning Cleansing Oil. Twenty sheets is a little too few for me so I got two packs.

Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer with Triple Moisturizing System, Php 127 / 50ml

The Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer seems pretty well-respected amongst fellow bloggers. I have no prior exposure to the Hydration line and would love to find an inexpensive moisturizer that I can depend on. Moisturizer seems to be one of those things my skin is not too picky with so the cheaper I can go, the more I have to spare for other items. Toner seems to be that one thing that makes or breaks my complexion and I only trust Shiseido Benefiance so far. It's not exactly wallet-friendly so I'll be pinching pennies wherever else I can.

Celeteque Hydration Facial Moisturizer with Triple Moisturizing System, hydrogel formula

I'm digging the hydrogel formula as these things feel like a tall glass of water after a long day of hiking. And without the greasy feeling! I'm pondering if I'll be needing another cream on top of this to seal in the moisture as hydrogels tend to dry out before they penetrate the skin, in my experience. I'll just have to see when I try this out. I have tons of other Celeteque products to "seal" over should I need to :P

Celeteque Acne Solutions Acne Spot Corrector Gel Php 169 / 5ml

My face is normally clear but I do get a few zits on my forehead from my heavy bangs. My Clean and Clear Persa-Gel 10 Acne Medication has been farting out for the past week and I'm giving it a few more days before it goes kaput. I wasn't very happy with it so I grabbed a tube of Celeteque Acne Solutions Acne Gel, hoping it'll do better. It purportedly uses beta hydroxy acid (BHA) and poly hydroxy acid (PHA) to exfoliate skin off and minimize acne. I also see salicylic acid on the ingredients list (seventh) so I'm preeetty sure this will work.

Since my purchases amounted to Php 616 (plus Php 50 shipping), I was asked to confirm if I was joining the BPI promo- naturally. For those who haven't heard, Celeteque is offering a special gift bag for online buyers using BPI credit cards. The promo period is May 10 - June 15 so hurry on over to the site! I thought the required amount was Php 600. They either changed it or I'm being a dumdum!

Celeteque-BPI promo poster

For going over Php 500, you get (from left to right):

Celeteque-BPI gift with Php 500 BPI credit card purchase

  1. Celeteque Sun Care Soothing Lip Balm (Php 190 / 8g)
  2. Celeteque Brightening Tri-Benefit Power Cream Brightening + Anti-aging + SPF 15 wtih Palmaria palmata Extract, AA2G, and UVA/UVB Protection (Php 599 / 50ml, 5g sample size provided, valued at Php 59.9)
  3. Celeteque Acne Solutions Acne Clearing Facial Moisturizer Gel with AcnacidolTM (Php 335 / 50ml, 5ml sample size provided, valued at Php 33.5)
  4. Celeteque Advanced Anti-Aging Anti-Wrinkle Collagen Gel (Php 779 / 4ml)

I'm only not-excited about the Acne Solutions Moisturizer Gel because it's formulated for the exact opposite of my skin condition. I'm not trying to make it seem like I have acne-free, perfect skin but the Acne Solutions line is for people with problematic and oily skin. Add the drying, peeling effect of anti-acne products to my flaky, dry skin and you've just got a recipe for trouble.

The Tri-Benefit Cream and Collagen Gel have been products of interest so I'm pretty glad these were included. It's doubly fun that I got them as gifts because while interesting for me, I could never see myself shelling money out for something I was only halfway interested in.

On the other hand, I've been using the Sun Care Lip Balm as a night balm (even though it especially has SPF) and it's been great!

All of the above are cased in a gorgeous beauty kit, with a discreet print of the Celeteque brand at the lower right corner. It closes through a velcro strap and has two plastic compartments that zip closed. Very handy for travel :)

Celeteque-BPI gift with Php 500 purchase

The full-size items alone are worth Php 969, along with the bag and two sample-size items, I do believe that this gift set is indeed worth over Php 1000!

Check out Celeteque website here, and
Celeteque's online store here. They don't carry their complete inventory in the online store, but it does have most of the essentials.
