My December GlamourBox Unboxing

Hey everyone! Here's part 2 of my GlamourBox Twin Treat. The first unboxing is posted here.

December GlamourBox, care of the guy who makes everyone swoon :)

The theme of the month is Holiday Glow. Of course, it's the most wonderful time of the year and everyone wants to look as beautiful as they feel! Glamourbox sent us all these samples to help us all glow bright as our Christmas lights! Weh?

Obagi Nu-Derm Foaming Gel

My mom used to get the complete Obagi skincare set and says that the foaming gel was good. I'm going to use it to wash off everyday / light makeup and full make up to see how it treats my skin.

Skin Food Gold Caviar Emulsion (L) and Skin Food Gold Caviar Toner (R)

I think this is the star of the month! It's really cute and the curation card says that its infused with Russian caviar. I've never had toner in my skincare regimen but my sister says that its mostly for pore minimization. I'm pretty excited to try these out :)

VMV Hypoallergenics Subtle Shine Lipstick in Girl Next Door

A full-sized product, yay! GB keeps on giving makeup, something that the other brands seem unable to do. The shade looks really nice, in fact it's something I would wear everyday.

Once while lipstick shopping, my friend Jhe asked me if my lipstick color choices make me look old. The thought hadn't even crossed my mind! I wouldn't wear shocking pinks or bright oranges. It looks really annoying and the slightest mistake in picking a shade makes you look sooooooo cheap. I like deep and subtle shades because it looks like a naturally reddish lip and it often helps make teeth look whiter.

Kosmea Hydrating Rosewater Mist

I don't generally like facial mists because the extreme humidity here in the Philippines makes it feel uncomfortable. I'll still try this out during the colder, rainy season when my skin is much more prone to drying up and flaking.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel

Neutrogena products normally react effectively and nicely on my skin. I'm excited about this one because dry skin is a problem of mine. My skin usually is really dry in the mornings, after my shower so I'll probably leave this somewhere near.

Benefit They're Real Mascara

How cuuuute! I've never seen a sample size mascara before :) I'm loving this plastic bristles trend, they're more effective than nylon bristles in distributing mascara.

I've been dying to get this from SampleRoom and I'm glad I got it from GlamourBox! I can't wait to see what this does for my nose which is the pore-iest area of my face.

Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey Pour Femme (R) and Pour Homme (L)

Fragrances! The women's L'eau D'Issey smells a little like sampaguita. I'm not too fond of it 'cause I associate this kind of smell with old age or sombre occasions. The men's version is already a bonus item. It's a little more citrus-y but in a very manly way. It reminds me of a yuppie or a salesman.

I'm most excited about the Brow Bar coupon. I have really sparse eyebrows and the most I can do with them is shape them. I don't have much skill with that so I like to leave it up to pros. Lay Bare people usually get it right, and in less than five minutes too! When my latest eyebrow threading grows out, I'll try Brow Bar next :)

House of Obagi and VMV coupons = so-so. Sending me a discount coupon won't make me spend on something I'm not super interested in.

RECAP

Once again, GlamourBox gets it right with a balance of makeup, skincare and fragrances. This is proving to be very much worth it. And from 9 unique items in November, to 12 in December, GB is slowly catching on that quantity is power. 

In my Ultimate Guide I was a little unenthusiastic about GB but it's now the top contender to be my retainer subscription once my trials for the other boxes are over :)
