Unboxing: My March 2015 BDJ Box - A Pond's Exclusive

I haven't been seeing a lot of BDJ stuff up on my feed, especially since I failed to purchase the February Kawaii box after messing up my personal subscription box payment records. In short, I missed a month because I paid too late. I diligently ignored all the BDJ unboxings and posts last February out of spite. Is this how you treat your SBQ?

Kidding. But I have checked, double-checked and triple-checked all my subscriptions since then.

So last Saturday, I got this huge Pond's exclusive box from BDJ. Read more to find out my official opinions on each "sample." I say "sample" because this is a bombastic full-size box of goodness!

March 2015 BDJ Box Unboxing - A Pond's Exclusive

Here's What's Inside (Sorted by Favorites:)

Pond's Flawless White BB+ Cream, Php 299 / 25g
Makeup will always and forever be my number one pick, especially in a box of skincare. More to that, the ethereal Julia of BlessMyBag.com raved about this BB cream recently (post here) and I'm very optimistic about it. I reckon our skin tones are pretty close, and her perfect shade is a mix of both shades, Light and Beige.

Pond's Flawless White Ultra Luminous Serum, Php 480 / 30ml
I used to think that serums were marketing redundancies, basically rebranded moisturizers meant to sucker even more money out of us, but not really. Serums are more potent (allegedly) yet runnier than typical moisturizers and act as your first level of moisture in terms of layering.

I have dry skin but I really love using serums in the morning. ACK!, you may be saying to yourself, since when does Tellie do AM skincare? *double eyeroll* FYI, I started this year, as in 2015, as in the year of change, baybeh. On a completely unrelated note, I realized that I needed to double-time my skincare consumption if I don't want to drown in skincare samples by next year.

Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel, Php 155 / 100g
This was teased by Sample Room a few weeks back and I actually quite like it. Apart from taking a bit of elbow grease in washing off, it feels so plush on the skin while being refreshing. It's usually a tradeoff between comfort and cleansing with drugstore brands but this seems to do fine on both aspects!

BONUS: Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel, Php 85 / 50g
Being the major push product of Pond's, I appreciate a second tube of the Cleansing Gel. I'd love to share this with a friend! On second thought, I might keep this smaller tube and give the bigger one away, because I'm a fucking saint like that. Who wants it? :D

Pond's Flawless White Dewy Rose Gel, Php 399 / 50g
I love gel things! Not particularly excited to try this out, but you could say it's on my good side.

Pond's Flawless White Re-Brightening Night Cream, Php 299 / 50g
Nothing particularly interesting to note with this night cream either, but the last 2 items basically complete your skincare routine and I am pretty stoked to use this for my next available Monthly Skincare Snippets, which would be April.

Box Value: Php 2016, or 3.48x the Php 580 subscription fee

March 2015 BDJ Box - Curation Card pt 2
This is technically astronomical value for money, and I should be jumping through the roof over this box but the posting delay and lack of ~words should foresee the following: I am not entirely enthused about this box.

I don't hate it, and I would even say it's at 7 on a scale of Saladbox-2013 to 10 (I kid! Well half-heartedly; they've been much improved since the tail-end of 2014.) So again, I don't hate the box but like my friend Jhe pointed out; we wouldn't really spend Php 580 on a Pond's spree no matter what value we get back.

Unlike her though, I find it hard to be completely crestfallen about this box because it has: 1.) the super trendy Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel, 2.) the seemingly awesome BB+ IN BOTH SHADES and 3.) a complete Flawless White skincare routine. My final verdict: good box, but not orgasmic good simply because Pond's is so accessible.

I don't know why I'm feeling like such a Negative Nancy. Am I starting to fall out of love with boxes? IDENTITY CRISIS!!!
