My Innisfree Conversion - From Hater to Recommender

When did I go from scoffing at Innisfree to recommending it to my friends?

In a recent post about my Gudetama haul, I mentioned about how I underestimated Innisfree. I knew it was one of those nature brands, but natural ingredients alone never appealed to me as a selling point. What changed my mind?

I first encountered Innisfree in makeup academy. While 99% of our supplies were MUFE brand, for some reason, we always had stock of Innisfree moisturizers. I asked why and the response I got detailed that: it's really mild, it suits most skintones and it's really cheap. Normally I'd be inclined to brush this off as senseless penny-pinching, but I found myself agreeing with it. I often modelled in class and so I have first-hand experience of how good this moisturizer is.

It's cheap!

I don't know how much the Olive Real Lotion is, but my friend asked me to take home a skincare set. A full-size, 3-piece set cost about KRW 40000, about PHP 1760. That's about PHP 600 per piece, which doesn't sound cheap until you factor in that it's specialty skincare! Speaking of...

The Jeju Hype

I've come to learn that Innisfree isn't simply a nature brand. It's a Jeju brand! So simply put, I've never met a Jeju item that wasn't effective. Korean skincare is so fast-paced that it's prone to flops, but Jeju stuff are generally consistent. The Jeju Volcanic mask line is particularly famous!

I'm glad I had a change of heart about this brand! Sometimes it pays to check my close-mindedness, harhar.
